Sec. 90-38. - Same—Standards; notice to adjacent owners.
(a) During the period in which the department is engaged in the clearing of street rights-of-way, as provided in this division, the superintendent of the street department shall prepare standards and criteria for clearance required in order to provide adequate traffic safety at the various intersections throughout the city and shall determine whether or not any street intersections or other traffic facilities constitute a dangerous condition and traffic hazard by reason of the location of shrubs, fences, trees or other growth located outside the street right-of-way, but adjacent thereto. (b) The standards or criteria to be established under the provisions of this section and based upon which notice shall be given shall take into consideration the type of street intersection involved, the location and kind of obstruction in question, and shall be based upon the minimum clearance required in order to provide adequate safeguards for vehicles and pedestrian traffic using the streets in question.

A request has been submitted for a three-way or all-way stop at Beech Street and Don Avenue to ensure property owners can safely access city streets. This proposal addresses the issue of a tree line obstructing the view of the street access from private property. Additionally, it would help to slow down traffic that uses Beech Street as an alternate route to Florida Boulevard, improving overall safety for the area.
A request has been submitted to the streets department to clear the corners of Beech Street and Wanda Avenue of trees and other obstructions that block the view of traffic. The focus of the tree removal is within the city servitude. This measure aims to improve visibility and ensure safer entry onto Wanda Avenue from Beech Street.
A request has been submitted to the streets department to clear the corner servitude at the intersection of Wanda Avenue and Veterans Boulevard. This includes removing young trees planted by the developer that obstruct the line of sight for drivers stopped at the intersection, making it difficult to see oncoming traffic. The effort aims to improve visibility and ensure safer access to Veterans Boulevard from Wanda Avenue.
Remove a tree that is now leaning at nearly a 45-degree angle, posing a significant risk to pedestrians and motorists. Its unstable condition increases the likelihood of it falling onto the street, potentially causing harm to members of our community.
